TAB’s Everest Mega Millions not struck in 2024
Kiwi horse racing fans gave it their all to win the $10 million prize on offer in the TAB’s Everest Mega Millions but the correct finishing order in The Everest at Randwick on Saturday has remained elusive in 2024.
The $10m prize was struck last year by a TAB customer from Auckland, but those heroics weren’t repeated this year, with no one successfully finding the correct finishing order for all runners in The Everest. The 12-horse field was reduced to 11 runners right on start time when Traffic Warden was a late scratching.
I Wish I Win, running in the Trackside NZ slot, wasn’t at his best on the day, finishing 11th, but TAB customers who placed a fixed odds win bet on him received up to $50 back in Bonus Cash.
“We’ve loved the ride once again with Mark Chittick and the team at Waikato Stud, as well as trainers Peter Moody and Katherine Coleman, and jockey Luke Nolen,” Cameron Rodger, Managing Director – New Zealand of Entain Australia and New Zealand, the operators of New Zealand’s TAB and Trackside, said.
“The Everest is now very much on the calendar for Kiwi racing and sports lovers thanks to the journey I Wish I Win has taken us on.”
