New experience coming to TAB retail stores across New Zealand
A world-class wagering experience is coming to more than 450 TAB venues and pubs and clubs in New Zealand with brand-new technology set to be rolled out over the coming months.
Launching today (17 March) at Manukau City TAB, the new terminals mark a major milestone in delivering an outstanding experience for TAB customers across all channels.
A best-in-class TAB App and website was launched last year alongside the new TAB brand, and the new terminals and technology in retail outlets provide TAB’s retail customers with a betting experience to take them to the next level.
“Our retail customers know the fun of celebrating a win with their friends, whether that’s in a TAB retail store or a pub or club with TAB facilities,” Entain New Zealand’s Managing Director Sam Moncur said.
“We want to meet our customers where they are and provide them with a seamless experience if they’re placing a bet through our new terminals or on the TAB App.”
As part of the development of the terminals, customer feedback has led to many customer-focused solutions in the new terminals.
The new terminals look and act like the TAB App and website to create a consistent experience across the platforms.
“Customers can enjoy more bet types, easy multis with a buildable betslip and more funding options. Plus, the new touch-screen experience is faster than ever,” Moncur said.
"Everything a TAB customer could do through the app or tab.co.nz is now possible in retail.”
The rollout will see the 45 TAB retail stores fitted out with new over-the-counter terminals, and self-service terminals, with new terminals also being rolled out across the 416 pubs and clubs that provide TAB services all across the country.
The rollout will also extend to the on-course experience, with new over-the-counter and self-service terminals set to be part of the customer experience at the 51 racecourses around New Zealand.
With all the enhanced elements that the new self-service terminals bring, they will be a key part of the customer experience in pubs and clubs into the future.
“This is in keeping with changing customer preferences with new technology, and with the changes we’ve seen across the broader retail industry,” Moncur said.
“We will be supporting our venues and customers through this change with both physical and digital resources on hand to help them.”
Along with the new terminals, the retail uplift includes installing new marketing screens for more responsive customer education and upgrading the odds and form display software to give customers a wealth of information at their fingertips in an easy-to-read format.
“We’re committed to delivering a world-class wagering experience and this is a big step toward ensuring our venues are well-positioned to serve the needs of our customers now and into the future,” Moncur said.
“There is a lot more to come in 2025 including exclusive promotions and offers for our customers that can only be redeemed through our TAB venues.”
